Python program to print current year month and day
In this example, we will see a Python program through which we can print today’s year, month and day.
To print all these information we will follow these steps:
- STEP 1: Import the date class from datetime module.
- STEP 2: Create a date object of today's date and call the today() function of date class to get the current date.
- STEP 3: Now, we can extract and print today's year, month and day.

from datetime import date
# creating the date object of today's date
current_date = date.today()
# printing the current date
print("Current date: ", current_date)
